RadarContact and ATC Memes was started by a group of aviation professionals with a passion for making people laugh — laughing makes the world a better place. The aviation industry is filled with the most professional people in the world that have one of the most important jobs in the world, getting people safely from one destination to the next. We all take our role extremely serious and perhaps at some times even a bit too serious. We needed a place to unwind in the comfort of our own industry and thus ATC Memes was born.
ATC Memes was launched in 2014 and has grown to a following of over 250,000 people across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter in over 100 countries across the world. We pride ourselves on bringing the aviation community together through laughs and now our amazing aviation and custom airspace products through RadarContact.
The RadarContact store was founded in 2017 with a vision to bring our followers something unique, something that the aviation industry would get. We started experimenting with some pretty wild apparel ideas by designing women's leggings with aviation sectional charts. The first day we debuted our leggings to our community amazingly we sold over 200 pair! Since then, RadarContact has refined our design and increased our products by offering custom designed tees, lanyards, stickers, phone cases, ties, and so more.
Today, our strategy is simple. Give our followers only the types of products that we would want ourselves and back that by providing the best customer service in the industry with an added dose of humor and a littly cockiness.
